FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
I SEE THAT ALL MOMS IS A NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION NOW, WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?
For our group members, our membership will remain the same. With nonprofit status, our organization will be providing resources and education to the community at low to no cost.
I HAVE ____AGE (SCHOOL AGE, TEENAGE, ADULT) CHILDREN CAN I JOIN THE CLUB?
Yes! For our group to function well, we need the support of moms of all ages. From pregnant mothers to empty nesters, we can all learn from one another.
I’M A WORKING MOM. DO YOU OFFER EVENING MEETINGS?
Yes, we do! Working mothers need support, too! We offer evening meetings with childcare.
I NOTICED YOUR MEETINGS ARE AT A CHURCH- DO I HAVE TO BE A MEMBER OF AUMC TO JOIN? DO I NEED TO BE CHRISTIAN TO JOIN?
Nope! Our group meetings are located at Arapaho United Methodist Church but we are not a religious organization. We are open to all moms… and all means ALL! Our members are women with any religious affiliation, or none at all.
WHEN ARE YOUR MEETINGS?
Twice per month on Friday mornings 9-11am and Thursday evenings from 7-9pm. Check out our calendar for the next meeting dates.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT AT MEETINGS?
Meetings will have a topic and/or a guest speaker. We will always have hot coffee/tea and breakfast or snacks. You can expect rich discussion and a laid back environment. Sometimes we learn, sometimes we play, laugh, vent… you get the idea.
I CAN'T MAKE IT TO MEETINGS, SHOULD I JOIN ALL MOMS?
We have current members who aren't able to make our weekly meeting times, but they participate in other ways. All moms is so much more than attending meetings:
- You don’t have to attend meetings to receive care from all moms. We will support you on the basis that you, beloved, are a member of our community.
- If you cannot be with us in person, know that we have a vibrant online community, and make every effort to share our resources and connect with members online.
- We offer so many activities outside of meetings that all moms members can attend if large group meetings don’t work for whatever reason. Book club, small groups, playdates, mom’s night out, and more.
- When you purchase a membership- the funds go towards supporting our mission, which enables us to help moms both inside and outside of our organization.
CAN I BRING MY BABY TO EVENTS?
We provide free, loving, childcare for all of our meetings. If you have an infant, you are more than welcome to keep them with you at meetings and events. We have many mommas who would be happy to take a turn holding your baby (or not if you prefer to keep them close to you).
IS ALL MOMS A SAFE PLACE FOR LGBTQ+?
All Moms is a safe and affirming organization for LGBTQ+ individuals. We are proud allies. We do not tolerate any unwelcoming behavior for our queer friends.
I’M NOT SURE ALL MOMS IS RIGHT FOR ME, CAN I TRY IT?
Of course! Feel free to attend a meeting before you register to see if it’s a good fit. Bring a friend along if you’d rather not come alone.
WHAT DOES MY MEMBERSHIP FEE GO TOWARDS?
As a member of all moms, you get to be a part of a unique network of mothers. Have you ever gone on a trip with a bunch of other moms? If so, you know the feeling of being cared for. Do you know a friend who has a recommendation or tip or life hack for EVERYTHING? Do you know that woman who has anything you could possibly need in her purse? That’s what being a part of all moms is like.
Your membership fee goes towards the planning of meetings with food and beverages, mom’s night out, book club, playdates, etc. It pays for the expert speakers that lead our meetings. As a nonprofit organization, your membership fee will help provide resources to moms in need in our community.
